Position Title: Lead R&D Engineer/Scientist

You will work closely with Chief Engineers, Global advance technology partners, product & offering managers to explore & identify new technology needs, mature technologies to TRL6, identify regional opportunities for cost shared technology development, front end the discussions with customers to fully understand the requirements and provide technical solutions to the delight of customers

The position Lead R&D Engineer/Scientist will be accountable for the below Job responsibility

Understand & evaluate the changing technology trends, provide value through new technologies and technology differentiation for Honeywell products.

  • Champions execution and mature funded technology ideas from TRL 2 to TRL6 level

Work with Advanced Technology Business Development team to identify and implement customer contact plans, prioritize funding opportunities, collaborate with customers and stakeholders and manage from initial concept through proposal submission to program win.

  • Mentor and coach engineering team members on technology trends & innovation

YOU MUST HAVE:

ME/MTech/BE /BTech in Engineering (Mechanical/Aerospace/Mechatronics) with 12 + years of experience in aerospace mechanical system & technology development

Technology development expertise in aerospaceelectromechanical products,Thermal management (Heat exchangers), Pneumatic valves, high temperature materials, sensors, coatings, mechanical design and analysis

  • Demonstrated competency in advanced engineering and/or research and leading advanced engineering/research technology development programs.

• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors).

You will play a pivotal role in reviewing data to identify key insights into a business's customers and ways the data can be used to solve problems in aerospace domain & Engineering Operations.

This Role will be responsible for: Creating and editing visual content including maps, charts, and graphs. Transforming data sets, quantitative and qualitative analysis into compelling visuals. Providing visual, technical, and editorial guidance.

R&R :

  • Conduct business requirement analysis sessions to gather customer requirements and translate them into technical specifications for data-driven projects.
  • Involve in creating and reviewing documentation such as Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS) and design documents, ensuring clear communication of system requirements and modifications.
  • Develop and maintain data models, dashboards, and automation scripts using Tableau, Power BI, SQL, and Python, designing solutions aligned with business needs and enhanced data-driven decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain Python scripts, SQL queries, and custom calculations in Tableau and Power BI. Ensured that program code aligned with system designs and technical specifications while meeting evolving business needs.
  • Update and optimize existing dashboards, data models, and scripts to improve performance and accuracy, modifying and thoroughly documenting all changes to ensure clear communication for future reference.
  • Conduct rigorous testing of data models, dashboards, and scripts to ensure their functionality, accuracy, and performance, implementing these solutions into the production environment for seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Validate the accuracy of data visualizations and addressed any discrepancies or errors.
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve issues within data models, dashboards, and scripts using debugging techniques, continuously enhancing applications to maintain high performance and reliability across all platforms.
  • Deploy software applications and systems, ensuring they were properly installed and configured for end-users, and provided ongoing support by troubleshooting issues and optimizing solutions to meet evolving business needs.
  • Implement data solutions by deploying Tableau dashboards, Power BI reports, and Python/SQL-based applications into production environments. Ensured seamless integration with existing systems and accessibility for stakeholders.

Skills & Qualification :
