A Sr. Facilities Management Specialist is a key role within the tech industry as they supervise and coordinate daily activities of the facility operations at Honeywell in Canada. This position is key in ensuring the facilities in the high tech environment are well managed and maintained in a safe, efficient and optimal manner.
The Sr. Facilities Management Specialist will oversee day-to-day operations of the facility, and will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the facility, including its employees, equipment and processes, and making sure they are compliant with all safety standards set out by Honeywell. They will take the lead in developing and implementing standardized operating procedures for all facility operations in order to ensure quality and safety. Furthermore, they will be responsible for problem solving any issues that arise and addressing customer feedback.
In addition, the Sr. Facilities Management Specialist will be responsible for directing the staff and team members in the implementation of maintenance plans while coordinating contractors and ensuring that all services are delivered in a timely fashion. They will also identify areas for improvement and maintain records and reports to ensure operational success.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or equivalent experience, with 5+ years of experience in a similar role. Knowledge and experience with regulatory safety standards, operational planning, and security assurance is an asset.
