What a typical day looks like:

• Requesting quotations, examining offers, negotiating commercial terms, selecting suppliers;
• Monitoring orders for materials and / or services to suppliers; financial reconciliation between orders and invoices;
• Management of procurement projects, with impact on the company's financial results;
• Organizing and coordinating tenders for the procurement of goods and services;
• Reducing costs and improving payment terms with Flex Romania suppliers, indirect materials and services, applying Business Ethics and Flex Policies and Procedures;
• Continuous market research to expand the list of potential suppliers and ensure preliminary contacts;
• The process of evaluation and selection of the supplier, meetings with the suppliers, analysis of the contracts, audits at suppliers;
• Monitoring and observance of the contracts in place;
• Advising project managers requesting support on procurement related topics;
• Interaction with internal departments to resolveprocurement/contractualissues, interface with the legal consultant if necessary.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• University degree (Economics or Law is an advantage);
• Experience in the field of procurement and supplier management (2 – 4 years experience;
• Experience in the management of commercial contracts (principles, contractual clauses, etc.);
• English - advanced level (written and spoken);
• Good knowledge of PC operations - MS Office, Internet;
• Capacity for analysis and synthesis, customer orientation;
• Ability to interpret a wide variety of numerical data;
• Good communication skills and team spirit;
• Knowing an ERP system is an advantage.

What a typical day looks like:

• You will establish and manage long term strategic relationships with core suppliers, drive engagement with Flex sites and business units;
• Guide the commercial selection, development and management of Core and Strategic Suppliers to meet Automation Integrations and Components costs and performance goals;
• Design and deploy programs for supplier selection, supplier performance management and supply base optimization;
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders, communicating regularly with other departments to ensure smooth operations as well to ensure timely manufacturing ramp on new programs;
• Monitor current commodity market conditions, technology roadmaps and identify supply/demand challenges. Develop, implement, and communicate strategical and tactical commodity plans internally and to Flex customers as appropriate;
• Provide access to leading technology, product roadmaps, technology strategies and industry trends;
• Provide point of escalation for Commodity issues as appropriate.
• Participate in the review of supplier contracts, outlining requirements and considerations;
• Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and material control systems to optimize supply chain operations, adhering to our compliance standards;
• Recognize the manufacturing process, technologies, techniques, and the product;
• High level participation in daily procurement activities and effective problem solving on daily issues;
• Be able to track, document, and communicate SOW changes to Supplier and Stakeholders on a fast-paced environment;
• Drive costreduction/improvementnegotiations considering a Total Cost of Ownership approach.

• BA/BS or equivalent workexperience:3 to 5+ years experience required;
• Engineering with Commercial background experience required;
• Strong Knowledge inmanufacturing/Processespreferrable for the electronics industry;
• Manufacturing and Customer-facing experience including management;
• Strategic Supplier Development;
• Contract Negotiation experience;
• Advanced English;
• Leadership and teamwork skills;
• Problem Solving and Detail-oriented;
• Ability to interface and communicate with different levels of the organization;
• Office (Advanced Excel & PPT);
• Automation background is a plus!.
