Job Summary

You will be part of the regional EHS team, reporting to the Regional EHS Director and be rooted at the campus with a reporting line to the MT member responsible for EHS.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Lead, support and develop the local EHS team in managing all EHS-related aspects for warehouses and offices (e.g. PGS 37-2, DG management, RI&E).

  • Ensure continuous improvement by developing annual strategic plans for EHS.

  • Develop and report on EHS budgets, audit schedules, and performance metrics.

  • Help shape and deliver (corporate) EHS training and awareness programs.

  • Provide guidance to employees and management on EHS policies and serve as an advisor to the business units.

  • Participate in project meetings to integrate EHS considerations into process and installation changes.

  • Coordinate crisis response plans and manage communications during incidents to protect personnel and resources.

  • Maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including government authorities, NGOs and customers to ensure safety and compliance.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • Bachelor’s degree (HBO or equivalent) in Safety, Environmental Science, Technology, Engineering, or Management (HKV or i.o).

  • Proven experience in a similar EHS role within logistics or manufacturing environment.

  • Familiarity with ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 13485, RI&E processes, DG storage, and all other relevant EU/Dutch regulations.

  • Demonstrated expertise in crisis and stakeholder management.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English.

  • Experience in an international matrix organization is a plus.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:

  • Manage complex engineering projects in the automotive industry, leading a cross-functional team including sales, marketing, engineering, quality, supply chain, NPI, manufacturing, and service/support.
  • Manage both new platform development initiatives as well as adaptive and enhancement projects for already deployed solutions.
  • Coordinate project activities and team members across global sites, and resolve issues as necessary according to the program schedule.
  • Mitigate and resolve potential conflicts and escalations due to topics such as timelines, deadlines, budgets, change requests or similar.
  • Function as a leader, facilitate communication and enable your team members to deliver optimal results
  • Act as a central point of contact and advisor for both internal stakeholders such as Product or Project Engineers and for our customers.
  • Help resolve complex engineering, manufacturing and delivery challenges through your experience and by utilizing the experience of your teams.
  • Take part and support in senior stakeholder interactions and negotiations.
  • Be on-site during NPI builds to understand design, process, & material challenges, with appropriate team members
  • Lead projects in accordance with PRO Launch processes. Lead management gate reviews. Ensure accurate risk analysis & highlight with proper data or information.
  • Establish project organization and secure resources for the projects by working with appropriate functional managers and/or external sources. Set up clear expectations with all resource owners.
  • Support RFQ response preparation and creation of Scope Of Work (SOW), in collaboration with the GAM and the customer.
  • Track & manage project expenses across all functional areas.
  • Work hand in hand with factory teams for flawless program transfer from DVT to PVT & stable production (SP) stage

Here is some of what we are looking for:

  • A background in engineering (ideally a finished degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or similar)
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex engineering projects.
  • Experience working on projects in the automotive industry and dealing with automotive standards and regulations is expected in this role.
  • Experience interacting with and presenting to customers and senior internal and external stakeholders
  • Professional level English is a requirement in this role.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel for business up to ~5-10% mainly EMEA, but also internationally (factory and customer site visits).

Here Are a Few Of Our Preferred Experiences:

  • Certifications such as PRINCE, Scrum, Six Sigma Green Belt are an advantage, but not required.
  • Previous experience using Stage-Gate model would be an advantage.
  • Experience leading teams in a matrix-style organization is a strong advantage.
  • Professional level Dutch and additional languages such as German or Chinese would be a strong advantage in this role.
  • If you don’t have automotive experience, other industries such as EMS or Medical could supplement your strong project management background.

Job Summary

, is responsible for the total finance and accounting function of
a Design Centre and Headquarter unit

They will lead and manage the finance team (2 direct reports and 1 indirect) to ensure accounting and financial processes and procedures are in accordance with corporate and legislative requirements.

Controlling 60%

  • You will maximize financial returns by establishing and overseeing the financial aspects of the assigned site/business segment performance;
  • Proactively drive actions to improve profitability, cashflow and long-term performance;
  • Identify & build business cases for investments, evaluate & mitigates risks, understand foreign exchange and currencies impacts, support quotes & work with customers, drawing on strong business acumen to achieve high site performance;
  • Identify and develop opportunities for process improvements such as finance digitization efforts including detailed Project Accounting and Cost Centre analysis;
  • Ensure compliance and adherence to corporate policies, local country , and US GAAP, as well as tax reporting;
  • Oversee the activities of the Accounting and Finance Department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements, 12 month rolling forecasts and annual audits;
  • Establish and maintain systems and controls (SAP S4H) which safeguard company assets by verifying the integrity of all systems, processes, and data, and enhance the Company's value, including complying with the requirements of the Sarbanes Oxley Act;
  • Prepare reports that summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations;
  • Talent Development, coaching, mentoring and culture actions to recruit and retain a qualified, motivated & high performing Finance workforce.

Statutory reporting and auditors 20%

  • You will be in charge of compiling Statutory Reports for two legal entities in The Netherlands. One Design Centre (MCi NL) and one involving Operations in Mexico, The Netherlands and Headquarter (MCi BV);
  • Ensure efficient and timely compiling Statutory Report;
  • Supervise the yearly Audits and communication with external Auditors;
  • Enforce and enhance the Controls & Compliance Framework and ensure statutory compliance;
  • Ensure the management and compliance of statutory entity financials;
  • Interact and overview Financial Auditors reviews and Statutory reports.

Tax 15%

  • You will be responsible for reviewing tax compliance. Monitoring Income Tax determinations. Working closely with the Flex Corporate Tax team and external advisers.VAT determination, General tax compliance for the different type of business in Flex. Be able to approach the Tax Authorities with queries. Overview the Statutory Compliance in location.

Treasury 5%

  • You will be in charge of managing treasury activities, developing processes and holds up in the areas of cash management, Payment Disbursement, FX, Payment Booking and BRS. Working closely with the Flex Corporate Treasury team.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • Qualified Accountant;
  • Bachelor’s or Master degree in finance, accounting, or related field or equivalent experience and training Minimum of 10 years of related experience;
  • SAP competence;
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to deliver against tight schedules;
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
