  • Be responsible for driving the architecture of end-to-end solutions from server to data center, including air and liquid cooled servers, integrated rack solutions, power distribution and heat rejection

  • Innovate power-centric solutions for increasingly dense IT environments and engage with high profile AI customers to optimize solutions for their applications and tune the system for maximum performance

  • Develop solution Overview and validate with Engineering and propose BOM/ SKUs to meet technical requirements and re‐view with Engineering & shape the offer accordingly

  • Design Air, Liquid and other cooling solutions based on Datacenter and customer requirements and design Direct Liquid Cooling for different geographic areas

  • Optimize cost, energy efficiency and performance from IT to the datacenter by driving hardware design and required infrastructure this includes addressing liquid cooling solutions and other platform engineering aspects that scale based on datacenter requirements, hardware topologies that are optimized for efficiency and performance for AI workloads

Essential Requirements

  • Experience collaborating with customers on architectural and design requirements spanning IT Systems to Datacenter Thermal technologies including heat transfer and the ability to analyze component /system level problems and apply advanced cooling technologies

  • Deep knowledge of thermal testing, flow and thermal measurement techniques, and the use of FEA, CAD & CFD tools to help optimize and guide thermal solutions along with the ability to optimize thermal solutions for operating environments, business needs, and product requirements is a core requirement

  • Solid understanding and knowledge of and relationships with key suppliers of data center power and thermal management components

  • Ability to collaborate with Dell’s technology partners and supply base on cutting edge technology development and work with ODMs on mechanical, thermal & electrical aspects of system design including experience interfacing effectively with suppliers to ensure they are both doing research and providing information on products or services that have value to the company, instigating and coordinating these efforts as necessary on a continual basis

  • Understanding of the competitive and business needs while developing technical solutions including knowledge of manufacturing processes and the tolerance control requirements for high volume production environments, and author architecture specification to be a guiding light for development of future products.

Desirable Requirements

  • 15 + years of related experience. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering with emphasis on thermal science, fluid dynamics or heat transfer. Years of experience offset with an advanced degree
