You will:
Drive hardware design based on customer requirements and required infrastructure. Address liquid cooling solutions and other platform engineering aspects that scale based on datacenter requirements. Define hardware topologies that are optimized for efficiency and performance for AI workloads, Maintain multi-year roadmaps detailing feature trade-offs and host regular technology reviews to ensure roadmap and Dell business objectives alignment
Optimize the hardware configuration to maximize performance and efficiency of datacenter components
Develop hardware solutions and architecture to integrate with datacenter frameworks and applications and create differentiated solutions high profile partners/customers to drive innovation at the datacenter and platform level
Provide expertise on multiple technologies and shape future products
Participate in strategic internal and industry forums and be a point of escalation for critical development issues, generate Intellectual Property including invention disclosures
Essential Requirements
15+ years of related hardware industry experience or equivalent skill; experience with HPC (high-performance compute) clusters, AI compute and/or storage platforms highly desired
Solid understanding of computer architecture to include Central Processing Unit (CPU) accelerators, networking, storage and benchmarking
Ability to develop technical relationships with the vendor base for core technology or solutions to drive requirements into next generation vendor designs
Experience identifying, developing and communicating differentiation opportunities and providing recommendations to marketing, procurement, engineering, customers and business executives
Ability to understand business needs while developing technical solutions; need to be able to travel 20%-30% to assess customer requirements and develop blueprints
Desirable Requirements
Masters, PhD or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Compensation: Dell is committed to Fair and Equitable compensation practices. The Base Salary Range for this role is $230,000.00 to $295,000.00
