What you’ll achieve
As a Technical Staff, AI Architect, you will have the opportunity to collaborate on the architecture of next generation large scale Enterprise AI Infrastructure including AI workflow design, model evaluations and SW stacks for accelerated compute, AI fabrics and AI optimized storage. In addition to AI IT technologies, this role will leverage state-of-the-art rack and data center power solutions and innovative liquid cooling technologies. You will:
Drive AI software and hardware designs based on customer requirements and required infrastructure and address business outcome requirements with AI guidance across software and hardware options that scale based on datacenter and business requirements
Optimize the software and hardware configuration to maximize performance and efficiency of datacenter components
Develop hardware solutions and architecture to integrate with datacenter frameworks/applications and engage with high profile partners/customers to drive innovation at the datacenter and platform level
Participate in strategic internal and industry forums and be a point of escalation for critical development issues
Generate Intellectual Property including invention disclosures and provide expertise on multiple AI technologies and shape future products along with maintaining multi-year roadmaps detailing feature trade-offs and host regular technology reviews to ensure roadmap and Dell business objectives alignment
Essential Requirements
Ability to Drive model selection and advise in architectural trade-offs and implication against customer targeted outcomes
Deep knowledge in open-source and commercial AI workflow applications and their implications across compute, network and storage
Working experience with Enterprise cluster deployments, AI workflows for training and inferencing use cases along with a solid understanding of computer architecture to include Central Processing Unit (CPU) accelerators, networking, storage and benchmarking
Ability to develop technical relationships with the vendor base for core technology or solutions to drive requirements into next generation vendor designs.
Experience identifying, developing and communicating differentiation opportunities and providing recommendations to marketing, procurement, engineering, customers and business executives
Desirable Requirements
Masters, PhD or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Ability to understand business needs while developing technical solutions; need to be able to travel 20%-30% to assess customer requirements and develop blueprints
Compensation: Dell is committed to Fair and Equitable compensation practices. The Base Pay Range for this role is $230,000.00 to $295,000.00.
