Description:
Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the annual strategic plan by providing RSM, BUM, and Marketing with detailed business intelligence (market trends, opportunities, competitive landscape, and stakeholder insights).
  • Understand account needs and expectations; develop detailed account plans, supporting RSM in Top Tier 1 accounts and managing Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 accounts autonomously.
  • Design and execute sales strategies and activities aligned with account plans and regional targets.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
  • Develop stakeholder maps, define touchpoints, and maintain accurate account information in systems.
  • Build and maintain relationships with economic stakeholders and clinical KOLs, promoting health economics arguments and engaging decision-makers on commercial programs and solutions.
  • Support clinical colleagues in identifying and managing sales opportunities arising from clinical support; perform clinical selling with RSM guidance.
  • Gather insights on tenders and negotiation opportunities; plan and prepare proposals based on account understanding. Participate in negotiations and collaborate with the Tender Office on documentation.
  • Develop deal models, support RSMs in Top Tier 1 accounts, and create IPAT.
  • Conduct regular customer outreach, perform sales visits, and identify new opportunities to drive growth.
  • Provide periodic updates during QBRs and leverage reporting tools to ensure effective sales execution.
Travel & Work Conditions
  • Extensive travel across assigned geographies; overnight stays may be required.
  • Field-based position with flexibility in working hours.
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in clinical commercial sales and case support for medical devices.
  • Education: Degree in Biomedical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Preferred: Experience in coronary therapy .
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn quickly.
  • Proven ability to influence without authority and excellent communication skills.
  • Comfortable working remotely and traveling extensively as required.

Electrophysiology Field Clinical Specialistwill provide expert clinical product and technical assistance and training to physicians, laboratory staff and sales representatives on the effective and safe use of the Farapulse and Opal systems during case procedures within an assigned geography, and in a manner that leads to meeting and exceeding business goals. In addition, you will also specialize in our wider portfolio including POLARx and Access Solutions.

This role covers
regions mainly and requires travel across these regions, but also in other regions of Italy if necessary.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Serve as primary resource for clinical support, consisting of supporting physicians performing arrhythmia cases in the electrophysiology lab with our systems.

  • Educates customers and internal Boston Scientific employees on the merits and proper clinical usage of the Farapulse and Opal device by giving presentations and demonstrations using a wide variety of formats and platforms (e.g., slide decks, manuals and other training materials) to keep all abreast of the latest product and technology developments.

  • Attending cases in labs of hospital accounts for case support and development efforts of the Farapulse and Opal system and its components.

  • Providing initial and continuous, as needed, training and feedback for development team and sales representatives (as appropriate) on Farapulse, Opal development process, products and features, and procedures involving those products and features.

  • Team up with Sales Team to meet existing and potential clients (e.g., physicians, physician office groups at hospitals) to identify their clinical needs, goals, and constraints related to patient care and to discuss and demonstrate how company products can help them to achieve their goals.

  • Develop relationships with hospital personnel (e.g., through casual conversation, meetings, participation in conferences) to make new contacts in other departments within hospitals and to identify key decision makers to facilitate future sales.

  • Respond to customer needs and complaints regarding products and service by developing creative and feasible solutions or working with other related personnel (e.g., sales, clinical research, marketing, technical support) to develop optimal solutions.

  • Clinical Trial Support: Managing and providing technical support for clinical trial activity within assigned territory by supporting the site authorization process and study procedures as defined in the clinical investigational plan.

  • In this role, you will be responsible for Campania – Puglia – Basilicata and may on occasion be required to support colleagues in neighboring regions.

  • This remote field-based role will require travel (approximately 80%).

What are we looking for in you:

  • Professional industry experience (1 or 2 years) in a similar role is beneficial; however, not a requirement.

  • Successfully completed studies within Biomedical Sciences (or a similar subject area), preferably within electrophysiology.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Can understand and communicate complex technical and clinical details.

  • Professional working proficiency language skills in both Italian and English.Additional language skills are appreciated.

  • Can rapidly adapt to a very dynamic marketplace.

  • Strong team player, collaborative, and can build relationships and work cross-functionally.

  • Self-motivated and can influence others.

  • Flexible, adaptable but focused and persistent.

  • Willing and can travel extensively as required by workload.

About the Role:
As an Account Manager in our Rhythm Management division, your core objective is to support the Regional Sales Manager in driving the success of the Electrophysiology portfolio within your designated territory. You will play a pivotal role in executing strategic initiatives, managing key accounts, and identifying growth opportunities to expand market share.



Account Management

  • Lead with a strong commercial focus to drive competitive account conversions and increase market share within the region.
  • Execute regional and local sales strategies aligned with broader business objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both clinical and non-clinical stakeholders in your accounts, in collaboration with Field Clinical Specialists (FCS), Strategic Account Managers (SAM), Key Account Managers (KAM), and Regional Sales Managers (RSM).


Opportunity Identification & Sales Execution

  • Identify and pursue new commercial opportunities within your territory, leveraging cross-functional support when necessary.
  • Manage the end-to-end sales process, including account planning, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations.
  • Work closely with KAMs and coordinate efforts with FCS and Inside Sales teams to develop and implement tailored Account Action Plans—covering both therapy and clinical perspectives.
  • Maximize stakeholder engagement opportunities, including support in the operating room as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in medical device or pharmaceutical sales; knowledge of Electrophysiology products or clinical support will be considered a plus.
  • Experience supporting procedures in the operating room is highly valued.
  • Proven knowledge of local healthcare markets and customer landscape.
  • Skilled in preparing tenders and engaging with purchasing departments and hospital decision-makers.
  • Strong business acumen, with experience in planning and executing sales strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
  • Positive attitude, high motivation, and a team-oriented mindset.
