DESCRIPTION

The role will involve understanding the physical and virtual transportation processes, from our fulfillment centers on to our final mile carriers who deliver our packages to our customers. As part of the Transportation Configuration Team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering software solutions to drive product developments within our transportation network.As an SDE, you will be working on the design and development of complex engineering problems. A successful candidate will have an established background in engineering large scale software systems, a strong technical ability, great communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast paced environment.The role is based in Luxembourg.Key job responsibilities
As an SDE you will be expected to own and deliver end to end key initiatives, maintaining effective communication with management and stakeholders. You will mentor junior engineers, helping them to maintain appropriate unit test coverage, code documentation, software structure and support. You will identify, evaluate and suggest mitigation strategies for risks during design. You will deliver high quality code on time as part of a cross-functional team and contribute to team discussions around system component design, improvement and integration.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience (non-internship) in professional software development
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
