How you’ll spend your day
  • Develop clear, accurate, high-quality internal and external scientific-medical-technology content for internet and intranet, social media, organizational communications and external press materials based on defined scientific communications strategy from Teva
  • In keeping with Teva’s Purpose and Values, generate content and position messaging with a central focus on patient experience, reflecting respect and compassion for people living the medical conditions for which Teva develops and delivers treatments by researching and engaging with patient communities.
  • Ensure strategic alignment of messaging through active collaboration with Teva colleagues and verify accuracy of scientific content through meticulous fact-checking.
  • Create corporate scientific communications for multimedia channels employing professional journalistic standards, including formatting, referencing, and annotation. Partner with graphic artists and other creatives to find compelling, edgy and highly engaging ways to simply convey complex scientific concepts.
  • Develop and implement scientific communication strategies to promote the Company’s drug development capabilities, achievements and innovation.
  • Engage and collaborate with business partners across the drug development value chain to synthesize the collective strength and overall success of the scientific output.
  • Write and edit a variety of content, including feature stories, press releases, email newsletters, and website content, covering subjects related to Teva’s core therapeutic areas of neuroscience and immunology.
  • Work with scientists to understand their research and transform it into compelling narratives for both scientific peer-to-peer and layperson/general audiences.
  • Monitor and analyze communication performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of messaging and materials.
Your experience and qualifications

Education/Certification/Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a life sciences discipline or writing/journalism.
  • A master’s degree in science writing, journalism or life sciences is a plus.
  • A minimum of 5 years of scientific communications experience or a master’s degree in science writing and communications or journalism and 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in scientific communications, corporate communications and content development in the Pharma industry

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of scientific concepts and the ability to translate complex information for a general audience.
  • Proficiency in digital communication tools and platforms.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to engage and collaborate effectively with clinicians, doctors and scientists.
  • Proficiency in creating content for various communication channels.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • International and domestic travel should be expected up to 20% of the time.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Frequent:

  • Sitting for extended periods of time at workstation or using mobile equipment
  • Using fingers to perform activities such as typing

Visual Acuity:

  • Close visual acuity to perform activities such as computer work, preparing and analyzing data and extensive reading.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

  • Work will be conducted mainly in an office environment
