Receives, prepares, and ships finished goods in accordance with customer specifications, contract requirements, and company policies and procedures. Assures compliance with all U.S. Department of Transportation regulations applicable to shipment of items from the Charleston Plant. Assist the Lead Shipper in all phases of work. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure job orders are processed with the proper priority to ensure delivery acknowledgments are met. Reading and interpreting job orders to ensure accuracy of final packaging.
• Keep current on all shipping procedures, domestic and export, including postal, UPS, truck, sea and air, and familiarization of rates for same.
• Compliance with government specifications pertaining to packaging, marking, and labeling.
• Computation of weight and volume using the metric system and preparation of detailed packing lists for export shipments.
• Preparing labels, bills of lading, and other shipping documents as required.
• Proper use of postage and UPS meters and other shipping department equipment, including preparation and maintenance of records.
• Interpreting worksheets and checking them against customer specifications for special branding, stamping, etc.
• Ensuring packing supplies are available as necessary to fulfill boxing and shipping requirements.
• Check items being shipped for identity, count, and customer specification in compliance with order requirements.
• General housekeeping of work area and Warehouse.
• Fulfill duties of the Lead Shipper, in the Shipping area during any periods of absence.
• Receive inbound shipments in current WHSE management system
• Ability to operate lift equipment safely and in accordance with Honeywell standards
• Interpret packing lists / documentation for proper receipt of goods
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

MUST HAVE:

• 6+ months of Shipping/Receiving experience
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
