Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

This includes, but is not limited to, project Accounting lead, Accounting process creation and review, internal and external audit liaison for Accounting topics, oversight of financial records, month-end closing, financial statement preparation in compliance with international and local accounting standards and statutory requirements, and liaison between Finance and the Global Business Services (GBS) function.

Key Responsibilities:

§ Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of the general ledger to ensure timely and accurate financials.

§ Prepare complex and/or ad hoc journal entries, as required.

§ Manage internal and external audit deliverables, delegating responsibility as necessary.

§ Maintains financial security by adhering to internal controls.

§ Drive application of Accounting policies to ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards and local requirements.

§ Act as the primary GBS Liaison – responsible for market management of any GBS standardization initiatives and other globally driven projects.

§ Support Group Taxes to ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations, including the timely remittance of the different returns/declarations and payment.

§ Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and effectiveness of the Accounting function.

§ Constantly challenging the norm and ensuring development and delivery of accurate and relevant financial solutions.

§ Oversee and maintain the ERP system and its interfaces with other applications.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

§ Excellent knowledge in finance and accounting.

§ Ability to coach, manage, align, motivate, and develop direct reports.

§ Strong follow-up investigation skills to find discrepancies in reconciliations and make necessary changes to the general ledger.

§ High attention to details and accuracy.

§ Ability to complete task while functioning in a stressful environment.

§ Identify and propose opportunities for improvement.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

· 7+ years of broad-based operational finance experience with progressive responsibility.

§ Experience in local and International Accounting Standards and Tax regulations.

§ Proficient computer skills (MS-Office).

§ Fluency in written & spoken English.

§ SAP experience preferred.
