Requirements:

  • Proven, professional level experience in data and analytics

  • Strong affinity with numbers, advanced level of excel, tableau fluency, detail accuracy and proficient in leveraging and developing tools to enable the Brand Merchandisers to make educated and productive decisions

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills – able to influence at a variety of levels and across functions in a complex matrix

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

MERCHANDISING REPORTING & ANALYTICS

  • Ensuring an accurate data foundation by elevating feedback & gaps with our global team.

  • Responsible for output of ‘Master Line List’ containing all product that hits the marketplace which drives many other files that are crucial for the smooth operation of the business.

  • Creating reports, tools and insights. You are passionate about digging into the analytics behind the reports to enable the Merchandisers to make educated decisions for the best possible results.

  • Tracking the measurable KPI values of the Merchandising function and providing this data to the Merchandisers with your own insights and recommendations.

  • Being a key player in identifying where the business is at risk of losing productivity.

PRICING PROCESS MANAGEMENT

  • Execute the seasonal pricing process for Western Europe, including key x-functional communication.

  • Working closely x-functionally using your expertise to implement and/or evolve the pricing systems.

  • Helping to prepare the analysis and tools needed to drive pricing actions in the GEO, and play an integral part in achieving alignment across functions.

  • Work closely with Merch and Finance to prepare and run seasonal pricing and margin reviews.

INTEGRATING MERCHANDISING PLANNING

  • Liaise with Finance, Wholesale Planning and Consumer Planning to align on the seasonal targets and prepare the tools that our merchants need to plan the season.

  • Franchise Management: Providing analysis on Life Cycles of our key franchises to enable capacity insights for our product in the marketplace driving intentional growth & decline decisions.

  • Collaborating with the merchants to prepare the seasonal forecast and engage with x-functional planning teams at key alignment gates.

  • Working closely with relevant x-functional GEO and global teams that either provide data or are in need of Merchandising data and analysis.

A typical day/week does not exist. The work is dictated by the seasonal Game Plan and varies quite a bit. A day can consist of preparing reports and creating tools that provide greater understanding, meeting with Finance on seasonal targets and margin reviews, creating files in excel to manage data across multiple seasons, to presenting seasonal hindsighting of past seasons in regards to productivity and goals for future seasons as well as ensuring data integrity by working with our counterparts in Global Data Governance.

  • Ability to work independently and initiate workflows with and between different functions across the organization.
