Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years technical consulting, technical consultative selling, practice building, or related technical/sales/industry experience. OR equivalent experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field AND 14+ years technical consulting, technical consultative selling, practice building, or related technical/sales/industry experience. OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years experience in digital transformation or using technology to drive customer business outcomes.
  • 4+ years experience in business consulting, consultative selling, or change management.
  • 5+ years experience leading technical, support, and/or partner teams.

Language Qualification

  • Japanese Language: Fluent in reading, writing and speaking.
  • English Language: Business level in reading, writing and speaking
Responsibilities

Global Account Technology Strategist (GATS) is at the forefront of our digital transformation efforts for our industry focused enterprise customers. GATS works exclusively to dissect the industry of a specific customer, map industry scenarios to the technical foundation, understand and translate the customer priorities and desired outcomes, and orchestrate resources in the customer’s digital journey. GATS’s technical acumen and industry expertise enables the customer to do business in new disruptive ways. GATS drives the adoption of Microsoft Azure Cloud, Modern Workplace solutions and Microsoft Business Applications such as Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform. GATS is the owner of the CIO/CTO relationship, and a dedicated virtual CTO.

  • Customer and Industry Insights: Synthesizes business and industry insights to develop strategy for managing accounts and subsidiary planning.
  • Trusted Advisor: Acts as the customer's Technology Mentor. Provide deeper industry/technology insights and build relationship withcustomer technology executives - CDO/CIO/CTO/CISO and members of their office.
  • Technology Strategy Formulation: Leads analysis of overall customer situation/needs and advises on gaps that would benefit from Microsoft solutions.
  • Technology Sales: Demand Generation and Orchestration: Creates, develops, and drives opportunities based on industry best practices.
  • Diffferentiated Value Proposition:Leads customer business transformations through digital technologies. Create business value for customers by understanding customer industry and position, and provide guidance and challenge customer thinking with innovative ideas that showcase the need for change and new strategic direction.
  • Mapping and Account Planning:Orchestrates internal teams and partner ecosystem for demand generation and account planning. Proactively bridges technology resources with the customer.
  • Education and Thought Leadership: Leads customer technology engagement by motivating and inspiring technical resources of customer, partner, and Microsoft towards customer’s business transformation.
