Minimum qualifications:
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in a technical/engineering role in failure analysis, mechanical engineering/testing, design validation, product development or similar.
- Experience in any two of the following: Fracture Mechanics/Fractography, Finite Element Analysis, Mechanical Testing, Mechanical Design, Materials Engineering, Electron Microscopy, or Computed Tomography X-Ray.
Preferred qualifications:
- PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Experience in two of the following scientific instruments and/or disciplines: Fracture Mechanics/Fractography, Finite Element Analysis, Mechanical Testing, Mechanical Design, Materials Engineering, Microfabrication, MEMS, Devices/Sensors, Electron Microscopy, or Computed Tomography X-Ray.
- Experience related to design or developing experimental automation, data analysis, or statistical analysis.
- Experience in two or more of the following: MATLAB, Python, LabView, R, CAD.
- Experience working in a production environment and working at multiple stages.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
