Your Impact:

In this position, you will be responsible for the technical aspects and vision of Agentforce Applications developed by a group of ~ 60 engs and collaborate closely with Product and Project Managers, Engineering Managers, UX, and more.

Required skills:

  • Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.)

  • Experience: 15+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 5+ years in an architectural role in a big tech corporation (5K+ employees) leading projects architecture of ~40 engs, including significant experience in AI Applications development and Data Pipelines running on AWS or an equivalent cloud platform.

  • Architectural Design & Strategy: Lead the design and definition of secure, scalable, and resilient architecture for large-scale, distributed, and high-performance cloud systems. Ensure solutions are both technically sound and aligned with customer needs, security, compliance, and business requirements.

  • Work closely with engineering managers, product managers, and technical leads to solve complex problems, review the design and architecture of new features, and provide feedback to ensure alignment with the organization's North Star architecture.

  • Be hands-on: conduct code review, engage in pull request discussions and approvals, and remain close to the code, supporting the teams.

  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.

  • Innovation: Drive the adoption of new technologies, tools, and processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the engineering teams.

  • Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks in the system, ensuring high availability and reliability of the applications.

  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, ensuring that all team members have a clear understanding of the system design and its components.

  • Great Communication with both technical and non-technical team members, ensuring that architectural decisions are well understood and supported across the organization.

  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and standard processes, continuously seeking opportunities to improve the architecture and processes.

  • Big-corp Orientation: Ability and desire to work in a big-corporation environment, gaining knowledge from the vast experience of teams and leading complex dependencies.

  • Proven track record of leading and mentoring cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration while ensuring alignment to guidelines and processes.

  • Problem-Solving & Design Thinking: Strong analytical skills, with a deep understanding of design patterns, architectural frameworks, and a data-centric approach for solving complex technical challenges.

  • Architectural Vision: Ability to work with other architects and principal architects from different departments to craft the architectural vision and roadmap for the organization.

  • Strategic Design: Ability to drive long-term design strategies that span multiple complex projects, deliver technical reports, and present performance insights to customers and at industry events.

  • Global Collaboration: Willingness and ability to work and collaborate with lead engineers, architects, and product managers across different time zones, especially in the US.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with conversational AI

  • Public Speaking: Experience presenting at industry conferences, webinars, or other public forums.

  • Customer-Facing Experience: Experience in customer-facing roles, understanding customer needs, and translating them into technical requirements.
