EMEA Payroll Director
Responsibilities:
- Accountable for the timely and accurate execution of end-to-end payroll deliverables across EMEA (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Luxembourg, Morocco, Netherlands, Nigeria, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Slovakia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tunisia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, and United Kingdom,)
- Develop, standardize, implement and maintain internal control policies, procedures, and compliance with respect to the payroll process, including, but not limited to pay policies, payroll calendars, payroll checklists, process maps and other procedural documentation.
- Ensure standard operating procedures are followed and maintained, and service level agreements are met by the team (e.g., response times and resolution of tickets).
- Manage a team of 50+ payroll specialists spread across EMEA and India.
- Timely onboarding, offboarding and separations
- Seamless integration with time and attendance systems
- Drive process improvements
- Standardize common processes across the region
- Collaborate with peers to drive best practices across the region and world
- Meet/exceed success metrics and key process indicators
- Ensure audit and Sox compliance
- Maintain a highly motivated and engaged team supporting unity across work locations
- Partnership and collaboration across HR and Finance
- Cross trained employees for backup/vacation coverage
- Employee development including skills growth and succession plans
- Maintain confidential information when required by legal or ethical standards and professionalism to ensure privacy of employee records.
Knowledge and Skills:
- 10+ years of experience in EMEA payroll processing.
- 5+ years global operational payroll leadership.
- Experience with processing payroll for multiple countries.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills a must.
- Experience within a shared services environment within a large multinational organization.
- Proven experience of conducting payroll and implementing payroll solutions in a complex, multiregional environment.
- Unwavering integrity with confidence and self-awareness
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate with corporate management.
- Practical experience of payroll systems.
Desirable Skills:
- Continuous improvement and/or Lean background.
- Workday, ADP GlobalView, ADP Streamline experience.
