SAP CALM (Cloud Application Lifecycle Management) is a critical service we support, spanning five data centers in different regions with over 6600 enterprise tenants. It includes 60+ microservices and daily feature releases by multiple development teams.

What You'll Do:

In this position, you will be part of a talented and passionate team ensuring the reliability and performance of our SaaS products and services. Your primary task will be to configure and integrate SAP BTP services into SAP Cloud ALM. Additional responsibilities include monitoring, analyzing the SAP Cloud ALM runtime, and supporting microservice development teams. Collaboration is key; you will work closely with product development, quality assurance, architecture board, and cloud platform service providers. In this role, you'll handle both development and operations tasks.

Responsibilities

• Integrate SAP services like Joule AI framework or SACaaS into CALM backbone, so Cloud ALM micro-service can consume the resources in a unified framework;
• Responsible for the Cloud ALM BTP service broker maintenance and release;
• Monitor the reliability and performance of SAP Cloud ALM runtime cloud instances across multiple data centers, improving the scalability of the service.
• Partner with MoD to support your services while co-leading the AppOps team in Budapest and India to ensure operations meet SLA requirements.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and learning within SAP Cloud ALM project teams, applying the principles and practices of service reliability engineering.

What You Bring:

---

• You have 6 years or longer of experience in cloud service integration/development, DevOps, or similar roles, working with cloud-based SaaS products and services;
• You have coding experience in Python, e.g: advanced data processing, rate-limiting/buffering with restful api;
• You have know-how level knowledge of Node.js, with basic hands-on experience in maintaining Node.js-based apps and their library dependencies.
• You have basic concepts of provision production-ready conversational AI service, like LLM infrance, adding on RAG, fine-truning, token mgmt, etc. It's beneficial if you have experience with tenantization of LLM services with tenant isolated RAG.
• End-consumer experience of SAC (SAP Analytics Cloud) and SACaaS is a bonus;
• Experience with vector DB or MessageQueue is desirable.
• Technical understanding of the SAP BTP Cloud Foundry or Kyma (Kubernetes + Istio) is preferred;
• Proficiency in analyzing issues for cloud services using tools such as Dynatrace, Kibana, or performing your own analysis in Grafana.
• Familiarity with cloud application design principles and cloud application operations.
• Fluent communication and interpersonal skills in English.
