SAP CALM (Cloud Application Lifecycle Management) is a critical service we support, spanning five data centers in different regions with over 6600 enterprise tenants. It includes 60+ microservices and daily feature releases by multiple development teams.

What You'll Do:

  • Serve as the SAP Cloud ALM service operation engineer in the APJ time zone, focusing on SAP service integration, e.g: work on integrate SACaaS into CALM.
  • Ensure the reliability and performance of SAP Cloud ALM frontend WebUI and services.
  • Oversee daily operations and events of SAP Cloud ALM services, including incident management, resource consumption management, change management, and service level management.
  • Collaborate with microservice developers to manage GitHub issues effectively and organize calls with app developers, PMs, HANA Cloud DB experts, SAP BTP cloud service providers, and other stakeholders to resolve urgent issues or service downtimes.
  • Partner with MoDs to support your services while co-leading the AppOps team in Budapest to ensure 24/7 operations.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and learning within SAP Cloud ALM project teams, applying the principles and practices of service reliability engineering.

What You Bring:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in cloud operations, DevOps, or similar roles, working with cloud-based SaaS products and services.
  • Technical understanding of the SAP BTP Cloud Foundry platform with knowledge of terms such as Global Account/Subaccount/Space/Entitlement. Understanding of SAP BTP Kyma (Kubernetes + Istio) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SAC (SAP Analytics Cloud) and SACaaS.
  • Experience in the HANA Cloud area, including HANA usage monitoring, user management, and performance monitoring.
  • Proficiency in analyzing issues for cloud services using tools such as Dynatrace, Kibana, or performing your own analysis in Grafana.
  • Familiarity with cloud application design principles and cloud application operations.
  • Technical understanding of CI/CD processes and experience in using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins. Experience in CI/CD setup is a plus.
  • Strong technical skills in system administration, networking, security, automation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
