RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will shape the future, deliver impact and unlock potential via:

Be a Strategy Architect

  • Lead a cross-country leadership team to achieve strategic objectives that will deliver both short-term and long-term business outcomes. This entails considering the specificities and priorities of both local markets while aligning with the enterprise objectives, ensuring a comprehensive approach that addresses the needs of both local markets and enterprise priorities.

  • Translate strategic priorities, aligned with regional and global strategies, into measurable actions and implementable outcomes, both in public and private segments.

Shape the Environment and be a Spokesperson

  • Effectively engage external stakeholders either directly or via industry or similar coalitions to shape market environments to the benefit of our company or patients served.

  • Impactfully communicate on behalf of the company in external forums or via media.

Be a Reputational Steward

  • Role model and uphold our company values and standards to ensure compliance across all functions and levels.

Own the P&L

  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of the operational choices that impact both short and long-term financial outcomes and take accountability for those choices.

Be an Enterprise Commercial Leader and Secure Business Continuity

  • Understand and develop meaningful insights about market environments and business drivers in both countries, formulate strategies and plans to unleash opportunities, and ensure execution through resource allocation and organizational adaptation.

  • Directly, or via the team, identify, understand, engage, build trust with, and influence the perceptions and behaviors of our customers.

  • Drive digital and agile transformation within the organization, building upon existing digital infrastructure and ways of working to enhance customer engagement, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Be a People and Culture Leader

  • Develop and deliver a compelling, aspirational organizational narrative which connects both the strategic direction and daily work to our Enterprise purpose and the patients we serve.

  • Role model and advocate for our Enterprise Ways-Of-Working and create a psychologically safe and collaborative culture where all employees feel respected, valued, and included.

  • Articulate a clear and compelling talent vision for the market.

REQUIREMENTS

  • The ideal candidate should have proven leadership experience (+15 years) in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, preferably in a senior management capacity, including several years in marketing/sales.

  • Strong commercial acumen and a track record of driving growth and delivering results.

  • Experience in managing P&L responsibilities, forecasting, and resource planning.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage and build relationships with external stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performance teams.

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically and make sound business decisions.

  • Proficient in tendering, negotiation and access skills

  • Proven experience in driving digital transformation and leveraging technology for business growth.

  • Strong understanding of the healthcare ecosystem and regulatory environment in Croatia and Slovenia

  • University degree from accredited university, preferably in Pharmacy, Medicine, Economics, Finance or similar.

  • An advanced degree in graduate studies (MA, MBA, or Bioscience or Medical Doctor) is a plus.

  • Fluency in English, command of Croatian or Slovenian language is a plus.

  • The required candidate should have the flexibility to either currently reside in Croatia or Slovenia, or be open and willing to relocate to either of these countries.
