As a Packing Operations Manager, you will ensure every order is packed with care and precision. You will report to the Outbound Operations Manager and play a key role in expanding our operations. You will oversee safety, budget, and team development, focusing on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction. You will lead and mentor a team of hourly employees, fostering positive relationships and aligning with eBay’s goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead a team of up to 20 associates to achieve excellence in safety, quality, customer experience, employee engagement, and cost efficiency.
Promote ergonomic and safety initiatives to enhance process design and reduce risks.
Drive quality and performance improvements, implementing Lean initiatives to exceed business expectations.
Set clear expectations for your team, providing training, feedback, and accountability.
Encourage innovation by developing improvement plans and validating their effectiveness.
Advocate for eBay’s core principles and ensure best practices are followed.
Use data-driven metrics for capacity planning and staffing to anticipate changes impacting performance or customer experience.
What You’ll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; advanced qualifications like an MBA are a plus.
Proven experience in leading operational improvements and fostering a culture of inclusion and belonging.
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and employee engagement.
Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work independently while influencing others positively.
A proactive and solution-oriented approach to challenges and coaching opportunities.
Flexibility with work hours, including weekend coverage, and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
