As a Sr Financial Analyst (FP&A), you will support profitable growth for PayPal in the EU region through driving automation and best practices in financial analysis, reporting and modelling.In this role you will partner closely with (regional) finance leadership, commercial teams and other global and regional cross-functional stakeholders, explain key drivers and make actionable recommendations to drive financial performance.


Your day-to-day:

  • Analyze and explain TPV, revenue, margin and other financial KPIs, including detailed weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual trend analysis across various dimensions of the business such as product, merchant segments, and regions; identify potential businessopportunities/risks.Driveautomation and best practices in financial analysis, reporting templates and modelling that scales across European markets to enable efficiencies and eliminate duplicate efforts. Consolidate templates/reports from market level to EU level for senior management engagement.

  • Partner closely with regional and corporate finance teams as well as other cross-functional stakeholders to design and implement a robust financial analytical review framework to ensure financial and strategic objectives are met.

  • Provide finance leadership with timely, accurate, and insightful financial analysis to monitor business KPIs and financial results to enable key strategic decision-making.

  • Coordinate and communicate with global and regional FP&A teams to ensure alignment and consistency of data and messaging, and to ensure information flows seamlessly across the various segments, product and market finance teams.

  • Drive best practices and identify areas of improvement and make recommendations to optimize processes or analytics tools.

  • Support other FP&A teams as required and contribute to specific ad-hoc projects.

What do you need to bring:

  • Solid experience gained as a (Senior) Finance Analyst, Financial Controller, (Senior) FP&A analyst, (Senior) Corporate FP&A analyst ideally in a fast growing, complex, medium/large company environment within the Technology, eCommerce, Payments or Financial Services sectors.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or related field. Additional business qualification like MBA/CFA/CPA is a plus.

  • Proven experience in presenting and effectively communicating insights and recommendations to a diverse range of stakeholders, across different functions and levels of seniority, including senior leadership.

  • Ability to work across functions, organization & geographies and influence peers and more senior colleagues.

  • Ability to work with ambiguity and passion for problem solving.

  • Not afraid to wear multiple hats - no job being too small or too large.

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office package (Excel and PowerPoint) and Essbase (or other EPM solutions)

  • Familiarity withSQL/Thinkcell/Phyton/CRMtools is a plus.

  • Fluent in English.
