Manage master planning, material processes and systems, prepare and update production schedules and purchasing needs. Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs. Optimize inventory and process improvements.
Develop specialized knowledge in materials planning. Serves as best practice/quality resource. Has awareness of latest technical developments. Contributes towards site strategy and policy development and ensures delivery within area of responsibility.
Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own role integrates with others.
Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex materials tasks or problems. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support materials and inventory recommendations. Uses internal and external sources to help with decision making process.
Acts as a site mentor for materials management. Will lead projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explains and coaches on difficult or sensitive information and works to build consensus as a subject expert. Expected to influence others cross functionally on topics within field, and toward improving local process and plans.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Technical or related discipline
5+ years of experience with demonstrated success in roles across supply chain, site, and manufacturing experience.
Demonstrated success managing projects
Extensive knowledge/experience with optimizing materials management procedures
Solid understanding of materials management, MRP, MPS and procurement
Experience managing a team and developing resource talent
Track record of driving improvements using a proactive approach to problem-solving
Strong oral and written communication skills
APICS Certification
Oracle knowledge and experience
Six Sigma Green Belt
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel
Expertise in leading and driving change across the organization
Significant influencing and collaboration skills
Understanding and exposure to different organizational disciplines (i.e., manufacturing, finance and engineering)
