As an Client tax - analyst (all genders) within our Client Tax Operations team, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing tax services for our German and Swiss clients. As the first point of contact, you will handle client requests and internal issues, ensuring seamless communication and efficient processing of German Withholding Tax. Collaborate with our global tax team to address international source tax inquiries and provide comprehensive support on tax documentation, relief at source, and retrospective reclaims.

Job responsibilities

  • Provides overview of the tax service and requirements for German & Swiss clients
  • Acts as first point of contact for client requests and internal issues
  • Processes Responsibilities in regards to German Withholding Tax
  • Acts as contact for client requests with respect to international source tax and respective collaboration with the global tax team
  • Manages inquiries Management & Tax Information distribution to our clients
  • Support and guides on: outstanding/expiring tax documentation, Relief at Source, and Retrospective Reclaims

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Working knowledge of tax duties of a Depot bank in Germany
  • Good knowledge of mainframe system
  • Basic knowledge about settlement and securities
  • Basic Knowledge /Experience on the German Investment Tax Act / German Income Tax Act
  • Basic knowledge on international source tax
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office (Excel/Word)
  • High proficiency level in English and German (spoken and written)
  • Effective problem solving skills
  • Ability to work as a team player
  • Motivated and driven personality
  • Strong organizational, time-management and multi-tasking skills

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Education to degree standard (or equivalent) in a Finance, Economics or related discipline is preferred
  • First work experience in the tax environment
