EC Analytics team plays a critical role, engaging with major stakeholders in all of Employee Compliance Advisory, Operations, Digitalization, and Technology. We also interact Senior management and peers. Our work includes developing advance analytical projects , thresholds, and citizen development solutions to identify risk activities across JPMC’s employee base. This is a fast developing space and requires a combination of analytical creativity, mathematical and statistical skills, and analytical execution experience on large datasets.
Job responsibilities:
- Contributing to effective quantitative problem solving and analytical research and delivery for projects: This requires:
- A deep understanding of economics & data analytical techniques, and several years’ experience that has built intuition about experimentation and empirical work
- Ability to join disparate and large amounts of data from multiple sources, and create meaningful, clear output
- Design and implement highly scalable and reliable data processing pipelines and perform analysis and insights to drive and optimize business result
- Demonstrated experience in approaching and solving innovative business problems
- Documentation of all analysis in an organized, clear manner
- Willingness to contribute ideas / fixes to projects that are not directly assigned to the individual but are the responsibility of other colleagues
- Experiment, develop and productionize high quality analytical projects, services and platforms to make a business impact.
- Engaging a group of team members and business partners to drive decisions for JPMC Employee Compliance; critical skills are:
- Excellent communication, both verbal and written
- Ability to summarize complex ideas (including technical/statistical ideas) in business-friendly language
- Ability to translate business themes into quantitative / analytical action items
- Building effective partnerships with key stakeholders within and outside Compliance Analytics
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Qualified graduate / Masters inComputer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or Machine learning related field
- 5+ years of industry experience in the Analytics, statistical space from top banks and consulting firms
- The candidate should be an expert of SQL, python, data bricks. Exploratory data analysis and Advanced reporting
- Experience in Alteryx is required
- Databricks experience required utilizing cloud data. Databricks is inclusive of Workspaces, notebooks, scheduling while mixing SQL, Python, Scala, R as necessary to complete data transformations and preparation of data for dashboard level reporting
- R language is optional
- Hands on Analytics expert experienced in delivering Analytics projects/products in the financial services domain , involving large and complex data sets- both on premise and cloud in an individual contributor capacity
- Master data storyteller with an ability to identify needles in the haystack and use Data Intelligence to draw actionable insights and make persuasive recommendations to senior stakeholders across different lines of business
- Self-motivated, organized, strong attention to detail and accuracy
- The candidate can drive business decision making and deliver fact-based meaningful recommendations
- Strategic problem solver with ability to formulate innovative solutions to complex problems and keep ahead of industry trends
