The Securities & Derivatives Associate Analyst is responsible for investigating and settling compensation claims internally and externally for the EMEA and NA Capital Market products; primarily OTC Derivatives, Foreign Exchange and Cash Securities.
Responsibilities will include handling and aiding in the timely investigation, and resolution of Interbank / Corporate Compensation Claims. The candidate will need to effectively interact with the front office, operations, relationship managers and external clients. Analyst is expected to be able to:
- Support incoming claim functions including logging the request, investigating the client claim, reducing costs where possible, and initiating payments/journal entries
- Handle outgoing claim functions including identifying client payment delays using reconciliation and product processor systems; investigate the root cause behind the delay; issue claims internally and externally; follow up until claim is paid / settled; and initiating journal entries
- Manage his/her aging and claim portfolio
- Maintain up to date and accurate audit trails for all claims
- Be prepared for weekly aging sessions to ensure claims lifecycles are on track and being met
- Meet or exceed departmental control and performance standards
- Prepare, analyze, and respond to queries for business, client and ad hoc reports
- Participate in client and business conference calls
- Support data collection and reporting for the OCRM and relationship managers for client visits

Qualifications and Skills:
- BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience preferred
