U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Senior Software Engineer-Hogan/Calypso in Irving, Texas.

Essential Responsibilities:

The Senior Software Engineer-Hogan Calypso will be involved in the entire software development cycle (SDLC); design and develop a wrapper API layer for consuming Hogan REST APIs for search records from Hogan; develop an API layer for consuming Calypso services to create and update Legal Entities and Contacts; design and finalize request and response payload structures for Calypso APIs; implement OAuth 2.0 authentication for securely invoking Calypso APIs; troubleshoot and identify solutions for issues found while integrating with the Calypso system; act as the primary point of escalation for software technical issues, providing solutions and guidance; break down user stories into tasks and distribute them among team members based on their skills and workload; work with stakeholders and product managers to gather and understand requirements, translating them into technical specifications; collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., front-end developers, QA engineers, DevOps) to deliver comprehensive software engineering solutions; ensure proper documentation of software architecture, codebase, and processes; help design BPMN workflows for multiple use cases which includes data validation and approval process; integrate with third-party services and APIs, ensuring seamless interoperability; and investigate and resolve incidents and problems reported in the production environment. Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science plus 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer or related. Must possess 5 years of experience with each of the following: (a) the entire software development cycle; (b) taking full stack ownership by writing production-ready and testable code; (c) performing analysis on failures, propose design changes, and encourage operational improvements; (d) conducting code reviews to provide guidance on engineering best practices and compliance with development procedures; (e) ensuring all aspects of product development follow compliance and security best practices; and (f) utilizing the following tools and technologies: Java; Spring Boot; REST; GraphQL; Docker; Kubernetes; API Gateway; SQL (MS SQL); Cassandra; Mongo DB; JPA; Hibernate; RDBMS; JUnit, Mockito; Rancher or MS Azure; Gitlab; Jenkins; Azure DevOps; Maven; Gradle; SonarQube; Fortify; Black Duck; JIRA; Confluence; Camunda; and React..
