The
Team Lead (Renewable Energy)
- Managing a team of energy experts with focus on renewable energies
- Representing Jacobs at key thought leadership events.
- Delivering technically excellent engineering consultancy services.
- Facilitating independent design/review/assurance on projects.
- Managing projects delivering on cost, on time, and resulting in client satisfaction.
- Maintaining compliance with Jacobs QA procedures, including the deliverables review QA process.
- Mentoring and facilitating the technical development of the team to meet market requirements.
- Engaging with high performers in a team environment to facilitate knowledge sharing and coaching.
- Supporting business development, with a focus on renewable generation and support the win of the opportunities
- Working with the Section Leader to achieve mutual work/business goals
- Establishing and maintaining relationships within the industry (e.g., prospects, past clients, regulators, suppliers)
- Enhancing our reputation with clients through strong service delivery
- Building business development skills within the team
- Promoting a client focused culture when working within the team
- Bid preparation and submittals as required, support section leader, project managers in the delivery of financially successful projects.
- Providing broad technical support specific to wider team around generation, including concept design, feasibility studies, technical specifications, Owners Engineer and project management.
- Engaging in the safety culture of Jacobs and promote safety in all aspects of project delivery.
- Proactively managing the HSE requirements on projects.
- Working collaboratively with other team members to deliver goals and targets of the team, section, and Performance Unit.
- Attending client meetings where possible to gain an understanding of the relationships that we aspire to maintain.
- Leading the team at meetings. Ensure tasks undertaken are understood completely before stating.
- Monitor time taken as well as forward workload to ensure that Lead is aware of any upcoming capability.
- Meet and balance scope of deliverables with time allocation.
- Supporting the Performance Unit (PU) to ensure it can thrive in a global setting, encouraging cross-geography relationships to maximise the benefit of global delivery to our clients and our people.
Here's what you'll need
- Tertiary degree in Civil / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 10 years' experience in the renewable energy sector, which includes 5 years in a leadership role
- Team and management skills.
- Client service and business development orientation.
- High standards of work planning, organisation and delivery.
- High skill level in oral and written communication.
