Roles and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the industrial design of assigned GE HealthCare product programs, which includes improvements to the functionality, aesthetics (brand), usability, and ergonomics of products and associated systems.

  • Utilizes in-depth knowledge of Design, analytical thinking, and technical experience to execute and complete projects.

  • Has knowledge of best practices and how Industrial Design integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market

  • Uses professional judgment and has the ability to propose different solutions outside of the norm to address complex challenges. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.

  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Will lead small-medium sized projects while also supporting larger projects.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with at least 5 years of experience in Industrial Design.

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.

  • Solid CAD experience (CREO, etc)

  • Experience with technically complex projects

  • Work examples that show empathy and understanding for end-users.

  • Experience building rough prototypes for iterative design purposes (3D printed, hand-built, etc)
