Job Description:

  • Relationship Management : Engage directly with US and European retail customer teams to ensure healthy relationship dynamics as well as drive process improvements through the Order to Cash interaction. Includes some conflict resolution, problem solving and customer negotiations.
  • Deductions Management/Optimization : Put solutions in place to optimize the global deduction management process.
  • Stakeholder Management : Actively engage WD counterparts in Sales, Sales Operations, Marketing, Pricing and across all segments of the rebates and incentives process to understand customers’ engagement model and requirements, develop the ability to anticipate future financial impacts.
  • Retail Rebate Escalations: Manage escalations regarding US and European retail rebates settlement. Escalations may originate from external customer, Pricing or Finance partners. Drive process improvements across all aspects of WD Retail rebates, incentive programs and claim settlements.
  • Finance Liaison : Serve as a business lead and effectively collaborate with Pricing, Sales, Customers, Accounting and Auditors. Remove roadblocks to facilitate clean subledger & minimal backlog of deductions. Provide analytics and reporting enhancements to support Financial close activities & the Accounting accruals process
  • Process Improvement : Drive process improvements across all aspects of WD Retail rebates and claim settlements, engaging customer, with Pricing, Sales, Customers, Accounting, Auditors, and the broader WD global finance community.
  • Tools Improvements: Coordinate with IT on building an automated validation tool to facilitate validation of retail deductions with WD rebates, leveraging Model N, Salesforce.com, SAP and other related tools.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Understanding of retail pricing dynamics and standard practices, deductions, and rebates.
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree required. Finance or Accounting related fields preferred.
  • Strong business partnering across supply chain, pricing & sales-related organizations.
  • Experience managing across functional teams.
  • Systems aptitude, with knowledge of SAP & Model N preferred.
  • Strong Excel skills required.
  • Basic awareness of accounting principles

  • An employee’s pay position within the salary range may be based on several factors including but not limited to (1) relevant education; qualifications; certifications; and experience; (2) skills, ability, knowledge of the job; (3) performance, contribution and results; (4) geographic location; (5) shift; (6) internal and external equity; and (7) business and organizational needs.
  • The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California, Colorado, New York or remote jobs that can be performed in California, Colorado and New York. This range may be modified in the future.
  • You will be eligible to participate in Western Digital’s Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan, which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance. Depending on your role and your performance, you may be eligible to participate in our annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of restricted stock units (RSUs) or cash equivalents, pursuant to the terms of the LTI plan. Please note that not all roles are eligible to participate in the LTI program, and not all roles are eligible for equity under the LTI plan. RSU awards are also available to eligible new hires, subject to Western Digital’s Standard Terms and Conditions for Restricted Stock Unit Awards.
