Key responsibilities:

People management:

  • Develop annual and long-term objectives for direct reports.
  • Measure performance of direct reports against success criteria and provides feedback.
  • Attract/hire and develop top marketing talent.

Planning and Analysis:

  • Drives local country Marketing Strategy Formulation to define winning product strategies customized for the local market that drive significant growth in the country
  • Lead the strategic planning efforts, working in partnership with the Sales Managers, to develop a fully detailed country business strategy to include stated objectives and action plans, inclusive of the market mapping, identifying potential gaps and exploiting new opportunities.
  • Develop market strategies aimed at maximizing market share, promoting prolific new product launches and building brand awareness and customer loyalty as well as healthcare economics, government affairs and reimbursement.
  • Set strategic direction for all franchises responsibility and ensure alignment of tactical planning, execution and control through the help of direct reports
  • Design & implement conferences/symposium strategies & tactics to support the country plan.

Product / Market Management:

  • Conduct literature searches, physician interviews, focus groups and advisory boards as necessary to understand and define potential of new market opportunities.
  • Guide Product Managers to develop customized messages and selling tools for the local market that enables the Sales Force to drive desired customer behavior change;
  • Champions the local implementation plan with Product Manager and the country Sales Force;
  • Execute ongoing identification of new opportunities and markets to be explored, offering understanding, tracking of competitors and market shifts, review of the broad strategic direction.
  • Work with operations team to manage the supply chain for products – monthly forecasts, managing backorders & planning inventory transitions for new products.
  • Develop, lead and manage the execution of new product launches.
  • Work with Sales Managers to ensure sales reps are adequately trained and
  • Development of downstream sales tools to support sales execution
  • Help the local franchises sales force with active field support

Product Development:

  • Communicate market needs to regional marketing teams
  • Conduct continuous product evaluations and providing feedback to the regional marketing teams; Contribute to prioritization input for new product development

Building and Maintaining Relationships:

  • Identify and develop strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders in each key market opportunity.
  • Manages communication with Key Opinion Leaders to ensure effective implementation of customer programs and to ensure alignment and effective implementation of country strategies and implementation plans and choices.
  • Develop support structure and relationship with sales representatives and sales management through responsiveness to their questions, needs and issues;
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining regional key opinion registers;
