As a Mechanical Inspector for our transformative wastewater infrastructure project in Abu Dhabi, you will play a crucial role in our asset validation and condition assessment initiative. Your expertise will be instrumental in enhancing asset quality, implementing best practices, and optimizing operations across our sewerage treatment plants (STPs) and pump stations (PS).
- Conduct thorough inspections of mechanical installations in STPs and PS, ensuring compliance with design specifications and quality standards
- Perform comprehensive assessments of installed mechanical equipment, accurately recording and reporting on their condition
- Participate in asset management activities for mechanical equipment in sewerage facilities
- Interpret mechanical and process drawings to efficiently locate and evaluate equipment in the field
- Collaborate with the project team to develop and implement consistent asset assessment methodologies
- Contribute to the creation of standardized protocols for seamless data integration
- Provide actionable insights to inform capital planning and maintenance strategies
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements
- Travel to various sites across Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra regions as required
- BSc in Mechanical Engineering or related field from an accredited university; diploma holders with extensive experience may be considered
- Approximately 5 years of experience in mechanical installations for STPs and PS
- Proven track record in inspection, installation, commissioning, O&M, and asset management for mechanical equipment in STPs and Sewerage PS.
- Experience as an MEP inspector for sewerage pump stations and STPs is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to assess and accurately record the condition of mechanical equipment in STPs and pump stations
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical and process drawings
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Willingness to travel and work at various sites across the region
