The Talent Consulting CoE was set up to strengthen the delivery of operational activities on behalf of the Talent Consultants and enable Service Line Strategic Talent Consultants to focus on driving and embedding organisation and cultural change.

Your key responsibilities

  • Supporting on delivery of key HR annual operational activities such as pay review, Talent programme nominations, our Leadership promotions process and the Firm’s performance and development process, LEAD
  • The HR Advisor will deliver business critical Talent reporting and analysis which is not provided through other centralised or self-service routes.
  • Provide HR coordination support on acquisitions, redundancy and TUPE programmes. Representing HR at individual consultation meetings, providing guidance to the Business Representative and affected employee.
  • Collaborate with the HR Managers in the Talent Consulting CoE and SL STC’s to deliver projects on employee engagement, D&I, Talent Management, and other key strategic programmes
  • HR administration tasks as required by the HR Managers and STCs such as reviewing non-standard changes to terms and condition requests, schedule and co-facilitate focus groups, drafting Talent letters, and maintain accurate Talent Pipeline MI.
  • Respond to ad hoc operational queries sent to our Talent Consulting CoE mailbox
  • Collaborate with other Talent functions including ER, D&I, Talent Analytics, Recruitment and Talent Development
  • Team with Talent Shared Services to ensure consistent and efficient process are maintained to deliver a high-quality service
  • Provide cover for the HR Assistant and other HR Advisors during periods of leave

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Previous experience of working in a large corporate HR environment at HR Advisor Level, involved in core generalist activities, and ideally within a HR Business Partnering function
  • Certificate or Diploma in Personnel Management (CIPD) either partial or full completion or desire to work towards this in future
  • Knowledge and understanding of UK employment law around Redundancy and TUPE

What we look for

  • A curiosity for, and an understanding of the principles of the latest AI and automation tools for Talent and how they can drive efficiency and quality in our work
  • Strong Excel skills (e.g. v-look ups, pivot tables, power BI, V-next, etc.) to analyse and present large data files and validate large amounts of data.
  • Good PowerPoint skills – able to tell a story through slides
  • The confidence to deal, professionally and assertively, with senior business clients either verbally or in writing when providing advice
  • Evidence of being able to prioritise effectively, juggling multiple tasks at times of competing demands on workload and deliverables, while being able to maintain a strong focus and attention to detail at all time
  • Ability to maintain confidential information in a professional manner
  • Interest in broader HR activities, keen to learn, inquisitive about our business
  • Someone who can flex their hours occasionally to meet peak demands on our service
  • A strong team player and a good sense of humour
