Job Description

As an HGA Blade Technician 5, you are responsible for executing test algorithms in accordance with the standard methodology; ensure the process objectives and throughputs are achieved in a timely manner; perform daily preventive maintenance checks and first-level failure analysis on the HGA Blade testers; and communicate tester outputs, issues, and other general concerns with your peers and superiors.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Execute standard test evaluation methodologies for the HGA Blade.
  • Execute 1st-level FA and track the repair activities of Blades and tools.
  • Ensure that the overall test schedule is religiously followed.
  • Perform daily and preventive periodic maintenance on the tester’s functionality and general workstation.
  • Ensures all tool PC and workstation PC is updated with IT – IT-compliant software, not limited to Microsoft Windows patch deployment activities
  • Monitor and maintain the deployment of standard HGA blade recipes.
  • Provide a daily tester utilization rate based on each day’s activities.
  • Perform routine weekly data monitoring to ensure that the tester’s output is within the acceptable control limits.
  • Perform an annual gauge repeatability and reproducibility.
  • Extract tester raw data and provide an initial assessment regarding the evaluation’s requirements.
  • Communicate test updates and results to engineers-in-charge.
  • Communicate tester issues encountered during testing that may or may not impact the evaluation’s results to the engineers in charge.
  • Perform inventory on test evaluation parts, tester consumables, and peripheral tools.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining a dashboard for monitoring tool output through time.

Qualification:

  • Graduate of laddered technology courses in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, and Computer Technology or any related courses, or
  • College-level with a minimum of 3 years of work experience in the opto-electronics field or related to the specified field.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in or related to Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, and Computer Technology or any related courses.

Requirements:

  • Knowledgeable in Computer Programming.
  • Proficient in MS Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Working knowledge of basic-level statistics and electronics (theoretical and applied).
  • Willing to work during Sundays and holidays with a shifting day/night shift schedule.
  • Interested in working on tasks that require attention to detail.
