What You'll Do- Partner with internal and external stakeholders, including actuaries, program managers, data scientists and software engineers to identify challenges and opportunities for insurance data pipelines
- Create robust data pipelines and processes to unlock new analytical opportunities
- Design comprehensive quality checks to facilitate accurate analyses and to ensure Uber’s insurance data meets compliance standards
- Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to build and improve on the availability, integrity, accuracy, and reliability of data logging and data pipelines.
Basic Qualifications- 3+ years actuarial experience, preferably in a data-focused role
- Completion of 4+ P&C actuarial exams, with commitment to continuing to take exams
- Excel plus high proficiency in SQL and Python
- BA/BS Math, Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Science or Similar
Preferred Qualifications- M.S. in Actuarial Science, Math, Statistics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, or other quantitative fields
- Experience working with commercial or personal auto insurance data
- Great communication and organization skills, ability to multitask and be a team player
- Balance attention to detail with swift and practical execution
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$131,000 per year - USD$145,500 per year.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$131,000 per year - USD$145,500 per year.
For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$118,000 per year - USD$131,000 per year.
