Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Prepare and/or assist the analysis of the balance sheet assets or liabilities in relation to interest rate risk management, optimization of net interest income, and securities transactions.
2. Collect data required for modeling of treasury actions, including but not limited to: securities purchase/sale, funding transactions, and hedging strategies.
3. Perform financial pro-forma analyses, including short-term cash flow forecasts, capital and liquidity forecasts, and liability optimization.
4. Read and analyze published financial information on the kinds of transactions other financial institutions are undertaking in the current rate environment.
5. Assist in the performance of sensitivity analysis for changes in yield curve, duration/convexity, and spreads.
6. Prepare periodic peer analysis comparing balance sheet composition, e.g. cash/securities allocation, funding/deposit mix, fixed/float composition.
7. Maintain policies and procedures current and manage work flows in Policy & Procedure Management (PPM).
8. Perform these and other duties, including work on multiple projects as assigned, independently and with minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications:

1. College Degree in accounting, economics or finance or equivalent education and related training.
2. An understanding of general accounting rules and regulations, accounting as it relates to bond portfolios and derivatives and a general understanding of computer/automated general ledger systems.
3. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
4. Strong proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office applications.
5. Knowledge of financial and cash flow forecasting techniques.
6. Proficiency in SAS, VBA, SQL, Tableau, or other data automation applications.
7. Working knowledge of Bloomberg application.
8. Ability to operate effectively in a team environment and multi-task on multiple projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Masters of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent education, e.g. MS Economics or Finance and / or CFA designation
2. One to two years of experience in Corporate Finance, e.g. Treasury, FP&A, Accounting.
3. Familiarity with SNL, SAS, Bloomberg, Yield Book, QRM, INTEX, and other trading/market-based applications.
4. Basic understanding of general accounting rules/regulations as it relates to bond portfolios, banking procedures/processes, and understanding of computer/automated general ledger systems.
