Job Description

The role reports to the Payroll Manager for Ireland, with responsibilities covering all locations, this role offers location flexibility (remote work available).

What you will do:

Bring energy, knowledge, innovation and leadership to carry out the following:

• Supervise, motivate, and guide a team in delivering payroll work within a large monthly manufacturing site, while ensuring consistent processes across the market

• Lead on annual activities/projects as assigned including the development and implementation of payroll policies, procedures, and improvements.

• Lead on payroll activities, including day-to-day operational items.

• Embrace and drive the digital transformation underway in our business.

• Ensuring Payroll Compliance

• Review the work of other members of the payroll team before signing off.

• Sound working knowledge of managing a high-volume payroll.

• Act as the point of contact for any escalated payroll queries.

• Stay up to date with legislative changes within Ireland Payroll, ensuring adherence to all legal requirements.

What skills you will need:

In order to excel in this role, you will more than likely have:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business or Accounting or another relevant Payroll qualification; in lieu of a degree

• Experienced Payroll Specialist with over 5 years in Irish Payroll.

• Proven track record as an efficient and comprehensive Team Leader is an advantage.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Experience in using payroll systems (CoreHR/People XD portal an advantage)

• Enthusiastic and confident with a willingness to work within a team environment.

• Possess the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.

• Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office.

• A flexible approach to work, ability to multi-task, prioritize and execute within deadlines.

• A good understanding of Payroll Processes, tax and legal framework and IT systems.

• Customer Focus ensuring that employees payroll experience remains positive.

• Self-starter with proven track record of working on own initiative as well as working with external providers and across organisational boundaries.

• Strong knowledge of payroll processes and relevant legislation.

• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.

• Strong organisational and communication skills.
