In this role on the Scaled Quality Team, you will work directly with product development and site-level management, operators, reliability, maintenance, and engineering teams to maximize the quality and performance of advanced robotics systems within Mechatronics and Sustainable Packaging (MSP). You will be the link between site level customers and engineers working within the product development organizations. You will serve as the quality gate-keeper for hardware validation of new systems prior to launching across Amazon Fulfillment Centers.As a Field Quality Engineer, you will use your technical knowledge and specialized skills to support, build, implement, and improve technology solutions for Mechatronics and Sustainable Packaging. This role will manage projects with minimal guidance that affect multiple locations in the country. This is a hands on position where you will be asked to do everything from resolving escalated customer issues to mentoring other engineers.Key job responsibilities

• Investigate and troubleshoot technical issues, gathering critical data from the field
• Work with development teams to determine root cause and prioritize resolution.
• Collect and analyze device data using tools such as Tableau, Quicksight
• Support Alpha/Beta testing of new products and features
• Keep team members informed of critical issues and escalate concerns promptly and appropriately with limited guidance from your manager or team members.

- 4+ years of working in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
- Experience with prototyping and implementation

- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
- Experience in the design of complex mechanical products and equipment at volume
- Knowledge of QA methodology and tools, with demonstrated experience in an QAE role
