As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will leverage your big data, distributed systems, network diagnostics and analytical skills to characterize performance, reliability and capacity of the system. In this position, you will help create and maintain the test analysis & simulation tools, supporting performance analysis of the team's various metadata systems.

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Tuning systems to optimize performance and to operate more reliably
• Providing ongoing technical assistance in areas including distributed systems, encryption and access control.
• Managing the rollout and activation of new features and platform changes.
• Developing monitoring tools and automate processes to help scale our systems better.
• Troubleshooting complex application issues, service incidents, performance and availability issues.
• Writing and updating SLOs, KPIs and creating forecast models for capacity planning

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 5 yrs of experience in Linux/Unix-like operating systems and a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent.
• Demonstrate experience with programming or scripting such as Python.
• Have experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Possess experience with security and networking protocols across the various layers.
• Have background with monitoring and troubleshooting problems across all layers.
• Have or has held government security clearance.
