Essential Responsibilities:
Advanced, total system-level troubleshooting, installation, maintenance and service repair needs on designated equipment
Completing Preventative Maintenance and Field Modification Instructions in a timely manner
Solve cyclotron, chemistry synthesis, and FDA documentation issues for customer, and improve customer satisfaction
Applications training for advanced customers
Updating product manuals and technical publications
Certify cGMP installation and preventive maintenance of GE PETtrace cyclotrons and various chemistry synthesizers
Keeping up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner
Maintaining daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction
Maintaining tools and test equipment properly and ensuring they are calibrated
Utilizing the escalation process to resolve customer service delivery issues and conducting root cause analysis that will lead to effective problem solving
Teach and assist other Field Engineers on advanced and complex troubleshooting and technical fixes, plays a leading role on complex and multi-functional system fixes
Ensure timely dispatch closure (if applicable)
Willing to travel 60-70 % and sometimes with short notice
Flexible work hours required: includes overnight, on-line center support shifts and weekend service at customer sites if scheduled
Meeting Health and Human Services, Environment Health and Safety, and/or other applicable regulatory requirements
Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job
Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
1+ years of experience working on electromechanical equipment
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complicated equipment
Ability to understand and follow mechanical schematics and electrical wiring diagrams
High degree of flexibility, highly motivated with ability to work under pressure
Strong verbal and written interpersonal communication skills, ability to work with teams and customers
Team player, cooperative, interested in further development
Comfortable working in a radiation environment
Provide your own hand tools
Willing and able to travel 60-70%, mostly in the North America, but the job will include global customer locations in support of critical escalations
Excellent computer skills
Ideal Candidate Skills:
1+ years’ experience of working with and/or servicing GE PETtrace cyclotrons
Experience with installing and servicing GE radiochemistry synthesis modules, to include (but not limited to) various TRACERlab FX and FASTlab/ FASTlab 2 systems
Documented completion of GE Level 1 PETtrace service training in either the U.S., or at our factory in Sweden
Experience in completing the biannual preventive maintenance tasks for the PETtrace
