Job Description

The Design & Construction Project Management Team (PMO) is seeking a skilled analyst in delivery including co-ordination, planning, control, reporting, analysis, and their insights, as well as supporting the PMO Manager in the delivery of its initiatives. In this role, you will:

  • Monitor and control the scope, schedule, and cost of a project while establishing operational objectives and work plans.
  • Facilitate the development and implementation of project management methodologies, standards, and tools to ensure consistent project execution across the organization.
  • Coordinate the scheduling, resources, and budgeting of projects within the PMO portfolio to optimize project delivery timelines and outcomes.
  • Monitor and control project progress against milestones, deliverables, and budget constraints, escalating issues to project managers and stakeholders as necessary.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and risk management plans, to ensure all project information is accurately captured and accessible.
  • Organize and lead project status meetings and stakeholder communications, ensuring relevant parties are informed of project progress and decisions.
  • Drive project performance with team data to identify trends, efficiencies, and areas for improvement in project execution and management practices.
  • Support project managers and teams by providing guidance on PMO processes, tools, and best practices to enhance project outcomes by implementing a feedback loop for process improvements
  • Oversee the PMO’s knowledge management efforts, including the development and maintenance of a project repository to capture and share lessons learned and best practices across projects.
  • Project regular updates and reports on project status including any variances from the plan

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Science or relevant design & construction field
  • 10 years in PMO strategies or project management, ideally in construction

Preferred qualifications:

  • PMP certification
  • Ability to quickly ramp on new systems and processes
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
  • Independent Decision-Maker: Ability to work autonomously, proactively identifying and resolving issues before they impact projects.
  • Innovative Mindset: Strong drive to champion cutting-edge technologies and process improvements.
  • Excellent communicator, bridging construction, technical and business stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI or Spotfire for analytics and predictive modeling; skilled in data analysis, reporting, and dashboard creation.
  • Analytical skills for gap analyses and innovative solutions.
  • Proven ability to deliver training and create knowledge resources.
  • Be tenacious and act assertively as appropriate
  • Be proactive and use initiative to achieve a successful outcome for all those involved in a timely manner
  • Be open to challenge and debate, avoid being wedded to a single solution
  • Be a team player, a role model for the core values and behaviors of the organization
  • Remain objective, reserving judgement until all the information has been assimilated or where limited information is available, use professional judgement to make timely decisions
  • Take ownership of tasks and complete promptly, keeping customer up to date of progress and task completion
