Manager, Third Party Environmental Sustainability

As aManager, Third Party Environmental Sustainability, you will contribute to and manage the implementation of Greenhouse Gas reporting and reduction activities within the broader Capital One. In collaboration with several other stakeholder groups,
Manager, Third Party Environmental Sustainability,you will build the process for which those activities will be developed and rolled out across the organization. You will monitor the performance of that process and make adjustments as necessary to align with our reporting and process health requirements.

You will also be responsible for the holistic relationship between Capital One and key third parties, enabling a well-managed and adaptable supply chain. You will work closely with internal team members establishing and maintaining relationships with internal business customers and assigned suppliers. This role is essential in the delivery of key cost, risk, and performance management-related efforts for third-party relationships, in addition to identifying strategic opportunities for growth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide problem-solving and innovative ideas to support internal customers. Identify value-generating opportunities (e.g. savings, efficiencies, or revenue growth).

  • Creating and validating processes

  • Designing and producing metrics used to measure efficiency and effectiveness

  • Driving process improvements aligned with desired customer outcomes

  • Analyzing, identifying, and correcting data issues

  • Providing subject matter expertise on processes when representing the department in projects and other meetings

  • Partner to negotiate contracts for Capital One

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for third parties and manage an effective governance between Capital One and assigned third parties.

  • Partner with internal risk groups to ensure third party relationships are compliant with all relevant policies and procedures.

Note: Limited travel may be required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years of experience in Relationship Management, Supplier Management, Project Management, Process Management, or a combination

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in Procurement, Sourcing, Operations Management, Risk Management

  • At least 3 years of Corporate Environmental Sustainability related experience
