Responsibilities:

  • Manage forward looking processes including forecasts, strategic/operating plans, monthly outlooks, and review results against plans monthly
  • Lead a team in conducting month-end close processes including the consolidation of flash estimates, monitoring general ledger bookings, and creating detailed variance analysis and commentary for senior management
  • Lead balance sheet management with frequent reviews of internally developed software assets and serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on topics of internally developed software
  • Participate in quarterly review of balance sheet trends and strategic forecasts with technology managers and chiefs of staff as well as perform analysis of financial performance of Citi and its competitors
  • Generate analytics for quarter end flash results, related highlights, board of directors reports, and executive management reports as well as contribute to quarterly competitor reviews, quarterly annotated supplement, and quarterly investment reports
  • Lead the estimation of risk capital and embed estimation and other metrics of capital usage into management reports and decision processes
  • Prepare/present to senior management and stakeholders on using metrics to evaluate and drive business decisions
  • Implement financial initiatives and manage work of the department ensuring appropriate staffing and organizational structures are in place
  • Partner with the revenue areas to improve efficiency, effectiveness, productivity, and/or control
  • Manage and direct individuals within the infrastructure area through relevant direct reports
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of relevant experience
  • 8-10+ years of managerial experience
  • Experience in financial services
  • Demonstrated financial modeling skills with the ability to drive top down strategic and operational plan
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships and interact at all levels of an organization
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master’s degree preferred

The key responsibilities for this Lead role include the following:
1. Senior stakeholder management with the LFOs and Business leaders - Primary Senior FP&A partner on a day to day basis
2. Responsible for all FP&A activities and Full financials for Securities Services & Payments including profitability, Operating Efficiency and driving business short and long term financial goals
3. Partner effectively with all FP&A Workstreams and other functions including outside of Finance (Risk, FRM)
4. Provide thought leadership on business and financial trends, critical senior review materials, lead analytics/financial reviews with the business/LFOs, escalate financial and strategic risks to business seniors/LFO
5. Drive analytics & review materials specific to products : MBR, Weekly R&O processes, Operating Plan, Outlooks, QMMF & CCAR cycles, Plan, Functionals, & other business presentations. Ensure reasonableness of forecasts across cycles
6. What-if/ Sensitivity analysis : Revenue, NIR and other business deep dives
7. Drive model Convergence (Consent Order deliverable) and model enhancements for both business and capital planning
8. Drive governance across models, assumptions including resolving MRM queries and EUCs.
9. Enhance and execute risk and controls over all FP&A activities. Develop, build and review preventive/detective controls to ensure accurate reporting. Build controls to catch errors and remediate/enhance process.
10. Lead and develop a high performance team in NY, Mumbai and CR with an objective to build and facilitate best in class processes/analytics including development of senior analysts/SMEs within the team. Most efficient and effective work allocation and people development to produce best in class results
11. Drive efficiencies through proactive thinking, eliminate redundancies, optimize/automate repeatable processes to create capacity for advanced analytics/support for LFOs/Business. Drive design and enhancements of standardized reporting tools like Tableau, One Stream, Dashboards and adopt standard firm wide tools to automate and standardize reporting
