Infrastructure Service Lead, Taiwan (Internal Job Title: Infrastructure Senior Tech Analyst - C12) based in Taipei, Taiwan.
The successful candidate will lead in-country core infrastructure support team covering activities such as change management, production support, project deployment, advisory services and housekeeping matters like 3rd party contracts, GRC/MCA. The role will lead a team of engineers supporting network, voice, servers, database, tech rooms, communication rooms and end user services.
Be responsible in attending to time sensitive infra supporting market trading, local payment systems, regulatory reporting and securities services
The role will work closely with regional and global teams in production support as well as change management and project rollout
The role is responsible for enforcing CITI policies involving Tech room/Comm rooms consistent with global/regional models such as campus transformation, EOVS activities, connection to external parties via B2B links
The role will be responsible in engaging and managing 3rd party service providers for MPLS links supporting the local payment ecosystem, regulatory reporting, etc.
The role will work closely with country partners such as application teams for connectivity and in-country server hosting requirements
The role will be responsible in ensuring Tech room & Comm rooms are managed according to CITI standards by working closely with local CRS
Stay up to date with Citi’s technology strategic direction and communicate with partners and business management on possible future impact and planning required.
In this role, you’re expected to:
Provide technical oversight across systems and applications, including escalations and resolutions
Evaluate staff performance and coach to develop direct staff members.
Perform vendor oversight and build close partnership to ensure delivery of services to agreed SLA
Communicate interdependencies in and outside of the department as well as across products and projects
Effectively communicate with management on outstanding problems and plans to resolve issues.
Take ownership of problems and work with the global support groups collaboratively across the organisation to manage and resolve technical problems from start through to resolution (may include afterhours conference calls).
Verify adherence to control/risk standards and processes
Lead, evaluate, provide resources and drive team towards realistic goals
Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of how areas of technology infrastructure contribute to achieving business goals
Shared responsibility for delivery of end results and contributes to planning, budget management and formulation of procedures which directly impacts technology infrastructure area
Influence others thru communications and diplomacy skills; may negotiate with external parties
Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision
Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy
Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and/or other team members, and manage teams
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgement regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing, reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:
10 years of experience in a technology infrastructure role with people management experience
Experience in core infrastructure technologies, and knowledgeable on Cisco network
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Effective analytic/diagnostic skills. “Can do” attitude, decisiveness and logical thinker.
Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audience
Experience in a financial service or large complex and/or global environment preferred
Ability to develop projects required for design of metrics, analytical tools, benchmarking and best practices
Ability to partner with virtual and in-person teams, define goals to a team, and work under pressure or to a deadline
Experience working in a securities firm with relevant qualification, e.g. Futures Practicing Qualification Certificate
Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
