As a Mechanical Senior Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for development of Rack-Level Data Center AI solutions. You will work with our global mechanical, electrical, and thermal engineering community on cutting edge AI solutions.
You will:
- Drive early concept feasibility to support and/or influence product requirements
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to drive customer-focused product solutions and influence portfolio strategy
- Use 3D CAD software to design sheet metal, plastic, die cast, and other components and assemblies
- Utilize robust design practices to design, prototype, and assess mechanical concept feasibility
- Interface with suppliers, manufacturing, quality, tooling engineering and other internal engineering disciplines to ensure the successful development and launch of new products
Essential Requirements
- 12+ years’ experience in an electro-mechanical product development role or equivalent skill
- Expert in reading and understanding technical data sheets, complex drawings and 3D databases; highly competent in Computer Aided Design (CAD) and predicting product reactions using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools
- Proficiency with electro-mechanical product development; skilled at analyzing options and selecting critical design elements
- Flexibility to adjust to changing design requirements and drive issue resolution
- Excellent communication skills with ability to collaborate with and influence global teams
Desirable Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience working with mechanical suppliers
