We are seeking a dynamic Senior Marketing Manager, Franchise Marketing to spearhead our Minecraft franchise marketing efforts in Consumer Products and Entertainment. This role focuses on expanding brand touchpoints across Products, Promotions, and Entertainment Content, including Movies and Original Content. The candidate is a strategic thinker with a proven history of managing impactful marketing campaigns and leading teams. Reporting to the Head of Franchise Marketing, the successful candidate will oversee these two verticals (Consumer Products and Entertainment), driving strategy and execution to engage new audiences and elevate Minecraft’s presence as a gaming and entertainment brand.

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 5+ years experience inmarketing, preferably within gaming, entertainment and consumer products fields.
    • OR Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience inmarketing, preferably within gaming, entertainment and consumer products fields.
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years direct people management experience or indirect people management experience (or virtual teams).
  • 3+ years experience in developing and executing large-scale marketing campaigns.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 8+ years experience inmarketing, preferably within gaming, entertainment and consumer products fields.
    • OR Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience inmarketing, preferably within gaming, entertainment and consumer products fields.
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years people management experience.
  • Experience in marketing analytics and campaign management tools.

Product Marketing M4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $103,800 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,700 - $219,200 per year.Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation. Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Develop comprehensive marketing strategies to drive brand growth and engagement across Consumer Products and Entertainment verticals. This includes setting clear objectives and KPIs to meet organizational goals.
  • Go-to-Market (GTM) Plans and Campaign Development: Define go-to-market plans and lead the execution of marketing campaigns, including both Minecraft-led and partner-led co-marketing initiatives. Develop tools and processes to scale marketing through our partner ecosystem both globally and locally.
  • Cross-Functional Orchestration : Collaborate with internal stakeholders (product development, creative, social media) and external partners (agencies, licensees, studios) to ensure cohesive and aligned marketing efforts. Facilitate communication and collaboration to optimize product launches and promotional campaigns.
  • Brand Management and Positioning: Maintain and enhance the Minecraft brand’s identity and positioning in the market. Ensure consistent messaging and visual representation across all marketing channels and consumer touchpoints.
  • Consumer Insights and Market Research: Conduct ongoing market research and consumer analysis to inform marketing strategies and product development. Stay abreast of industry trends and consumer behavior to identify new opportunities and areas for growth.
