We are looking for a professional Resident Engineer to add to our team in Savannah, GA. Join our highway team and apply your experience to serve as an expert to improve our projects. You’ll work alongside our technical experts to solve complex problems and serve our clients in the construction of major transportation infrastructure improvements. You’ll work independently, with guidance, and be a liaison between engineers, our clients, subcontractors and stakeholder. In this role you may lead teams and provide construction oversight in an Owner’s Agent or 3rd Party construction management role. Your primary role will be to manage and enforce the contract requirements for highway and roadway projects. You’ll also use your experience to help to mentor your teammates with less experience.
• A minimum of 10 years of engineering/construction field and civil transportation infrastructure experience
• A Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• Experience with project controls and health and safety training
• A thorough understanding of surveying, civil and structural details, engineering design and blue prints
• A valid State’s driver’s license and the ability to pass a motor vehicle background check
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds is required.
• Ability to walk construction site, including walking up and down slopes
• Experience with Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction and Georgia DOT
Ideally, You’ll Also Have:
• A PE license
• Significant experience in complex bridge construction, rehabilitation and reconstruction.
