As a Special Credits Officer III in Business Banking Special Credits Risk, you'll be managing a portfolio of loans nominated for note sale. You'll be required to complete a thorough evaluation of the loans and ensure all due diligence is complete.
Job Responsibilities:
- Use knowledge of banking, industry trends and internal tools to identify, recommend, and promote solutions that best serve the client while still working within risk parameters that protect the bank and ensure profitability of the portfolio.
- Protect the firm by following sound risk management protocols and control policies and adhering to regulatory requirements.
- Maintain clear and concise communications with all partners involved. Thorough review of loan and legal documents, collateral forms, and checklists.
- Ensure proper document retention is maintained.

- Solid organizational and project management skills, including strong follow through skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, deadlines and work streams.
- An outstanding ability to analyze problems, apply quantitative analytical approaches, and work well in cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present facts, thoughts, and ideas in a clear, concise, and convincing manner to stakeholders and partners.
- General knowledge of core business products and services including loan documents, collateral, and legal documents.
- Proficient in MS Office tools including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Maintain strong Zoom/phone-based and written communication skills with individuals at all levels, internally and externally.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage, prioritize, work under pressure, and meet tight deadline.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- 5+ years of commercial collections and problem credit management experience
- Expert understanding of commercial real estate and collateral secured loans.
- Expert knowledge of credit philosophy, policies & procedures, loan documentation, SBA, collections litigation
