What you need to know about the role
You will leverage business intelligence, data analytic, and SQL skills to analyze, move, and transform data from the source so that it can be easily visualized, interpreted and acted upon by our Control Testing Team.

Your way to impact

• You will own the concept, productization, and delivery of the technical solutions which improve testing quality, drive operational efficiency , and scale to support our business growth
• You will partner closely and collaborate with our control testing team, business process teams, risk teams, and cross-functional experts responsible for supporting our technical solutions at PayPal to build first in class control testing solutions.

Your day-to-day

In your day-to-day role, you will

• You will assist in analyzing, pipelining and transforming data from the source so that it can be easily consumed, visualized, and acted upon by testing teams
• Collaborate with business risk and process teams, technical support teams and testing teams to understand processes, data and scope of projects
• Assist with creation of automated continuous monitoring efforts by applying business rules to datasets
• Develop and deliver quality and reusable code on schedule
• Mentor junior engineers by providing technical and business related guidance and resources.
• Work effectively with globally distributed teams in multiple time zones.

What do you need to bring

• Bachelor’s degree or 4 years equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Math, Statistics, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience.
• Provenexperience with BigQuery, Hadoop, Teradata, Hive, Apache Spark, Notebooks, UC4, Airflow, Tableau, Power BI, Splunk, Python, or other equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL technologies, good understanding of relational and free form databases, including strong data architecture knowledge and SQL/PL-SQL development skills
• Experience working with Cloud (SaaS/IaaS) services
• Proficiencywith REST and/or SOAP API automation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to partner with engineers, program managers, and business stakeholders
• Ability to think outside of the box, innovating and driving product vision for the space, focusing on goals and needs of end customers
• Experience with risk and controls testing automation a plus
