Your key responsibilities

  • Designing scalable, secure, and high-performing data architectures using Databricks and cloud-native tools
  • Leading the development of data models, pipelines, and integration frameworks that support analytics and AI
  • Collaborating with clients and internal teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions
  • Setting data governance and quality standards to ensure trusted and compliant data
  • Guiding and mentoring engineering teams through architecture decisions and best practices
  • Driving innovation by exploring new tools, patterns, and approaches to data architecture


To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • A third level qualification in Computer Science, Mathematics or a related discipline, or relevant experience related to the position
  • Proven experience working in a client-facing consulting environment, with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations, navigate complex requirements, and deliver tailored solutions across diverse industries.
  • 7 years' experience working with Databricks. Good hands on experience with Spark, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms like Azure, AWS and/or Google Cloud
  • Experience designing data lakes, lakehouses, and modern data platforms
  • Proven experience managing and mentoring high-performing data engineering teams, driving collaboration, professional growth and successful project delivery
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • A strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to problem-solving

Ideally, you will also have:

  • Familiarity with data security, privacy, and compliance frameworks
  • Knowledge of data mesh, data fabric, or other emerging architecture patterns
  • Professional certification in Databricks
